Going Solar
I have been reading articles and watching videos about going solar. This looks like the way to go if you are really wanting to live off the grid. I have not figured it all out yet, and I like the looks of a wind turbine but the wind in southern Indiana would not produce much power. You should study out your area before thinking you can make a lot of energy off a wind turbine. Now the northern part of Indiana has alot more wind so you might be able to get some energy going up there.

Deer Hunting Stock UP
Deer hunting season is in and this is a great time to stock up on some deer jerky. End time survival jerky! This stuff tastes great and would be a treat if you didn't have anything to eat while trying to survive in the wild. You would not have to cook it and draw attention to your get away spot it would already be cooked and ready to eat. A MUST!

PayDay
Pay day hurray! Got the car payment made and made a payment on the electric bill. I get to go grocery shopping today. I saw my sister yesterday and she seemed a little better. David came by yesterday and brought a load of wood. Be sure to stock up on wood in case you need it in hard times. If you cant get gas or buy it without a chip in your hand then you cant use a chain saw to cut it right. Get your woodpile stocked!

Reality Hits
I got up this morning and fixed a pot of coffee. Next thing I know the water is no longer working. NO WATER! So I went out and pumped the well to get water to flush the toilet and enough to warm up some to do dishes. After that the water was brown. No way we could use that water for anything. The local store had a gallon of water that I made coffee and milk with. I need to store some water and so do you!

Walking through the woods
We ate garlic yesterday and I put some in the lunch I fixed today, then we took a hike through the woods. This time no ticks, it really does work. Get you some garlic and store some in case you have to take a hiking trail through the wood in a hurry.

Natural Repellent
Be sure to add garlic to your list of survival supplies. It acts as a great repellent for keeping away ticks and mosquitoes. If your traveling in the woods which you probably will be, you will need to protect yourself against those insects that can cause disease. Garlic is a natural repellent that ticks and mosquitoes do not like. Be prepared! Think ahead and get your garlic, grow it if you can so you will always have a easy to get supply.

We have corn, about 3 inches tall and growing, I cannot wait to taste some fresh corn, We put cages around the tomato plants and they are doing alot better without the help of the bunny! Get you a garden planted now. The time has come, don't be left without food for the winter!
Banking System
I am going to throw this warning out to who ever can accept it. If you have lots of money in the bank, I highly recommend taking it out now. I got my bank account hacked into over the weekend and they took even more than I had. I didn't think it would happen to me but it did. It could happen to you too.

Camping for a living Displaced Americans
I don't think some people actually realize what some people in America are going through just trying to survive. My husband told me the other day that there was a guy on you tube that said there are 300 families living in the national forest that had been displaced. This is just one area in one state. Think about the bigger cities. They are starting to make tent cities. You are blessed if you have a roof over your head. Times are tough, and a lot of people don't have jobs. There are lots of people claiming that food shortages are coming. Store up while you can. Buy rice and beans. Dried milk and water. Get prepared while you have finances to do so. You might even want to buy a tent just in case!

Herbs and Gardening
We put out the tomato and pepper plants and covered the tomato plants with glass tents to keep the rabbits out. We have always had a problem with rabbits when it comes to gardening and this year we put glass tents around the plants and it has worked! The lemon balm and catnip are coming up nicely too. Be sure to protect your plants from the wild animals or you will be waisting your money and time!

Global Swine Flu cases rise
We are seeing the Swine flu spreading and moving quickly too. Make sure you are prepared to survive if you cannot get supplies. It has also hit Indiana. Stay away from large gatherings and events. Have enough supplies to maintain. Don't wait until it's too late. Start now if you have not started yet.

Trouble ahead for the Swine Flu
In the bible we read Mark 13:8
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
I believe the sorrows and troubles are here. With the swine flu spreading like wildfire there are some things you should stop and consider. Am I prepared for what may become of this. First of all Are you saved do you believe in Jesus as your savior. If not get saved today, he came and died for you that you could be forgiven of your sins and live forever with him. What a great day that will be for those who believe.
Gather yourself supplies for the days ahead, because you never know when your town will be put in lockdown, plus you probably wont want to be out and about getting sick with the flu if it hits the area you live in, which is very possible. Lots of people go to Mexico on spring break and it could be spreading quick.
Don't wait until its too late. Keep updated.

Boxes of Food
When storing your food remember you want to keep it clean and dry and sealed against bugs and critters. I bought a plastic container from walmart. It seems to do the job.
Sprouts
I have lettuce coming up in the garden, it's small but there looks like there is going to be a bunch of it. I cannot wait, I love fresh garden lettuce. There are also a few sunflowers coming up along with garlic and onions. I encourage all of you to plant a garden, get prepared. Practice growing your own food. Enjoy the labor of your hands.

What are you used to eating?
A part of getting prepared to survive to the end is what you are feeding your body. How will you handle it when you can't go through the drive-thru any more. Will you be dying for a big mac? You will not be alone. Start now to get rid of the easy costly way of life and get your body used to a new way of thinking. Eat rice in the morning instead of doughnuts from the bakery, make a pizza instead of ordering out and save yourselves an extra 30.00. It is hard to do but you need to start sometime. Why not now?

24 Hour Watch
When times get tough you are going to need to protect your supplies. There is no way you can stay awake around the clock and guard your home, family and supplies. So you need a dog, a watchdog! They can really come in handy when it comes to letting you know when someone is messing around your home. You can rest easy knowing that if someone comes in your territory your dog will wake you. Think about it!

Medications
What if the day comes that you cannot buy medications unless you have the chip? Time to start researching alternatives such as herbal remedies that can do the same job but better because it's natural. Example, St. John's Wort, herbal supplements that act as a mood enhancer. Study it out. Your health is worth it. God made the natural herbs for us, not some man made medicine that can have adverse side effects!

Weather Survival Gear
You never know what kind of weather you are going to have from one minute to the next. A rain coat, winter coat, and umbrella would be some good items to place in your survival pack. A small fold up umbrella could guard you from the rain or hot sun.

Water Store Now H20
Just an example of how bad you need to store water, our water supply has been bad for a couple of days now and we don't know when the water company is going to get it fixed. When you turn on the water you get something that looks like milk. Not good. Thank God I had stored alittle water and now I know I should of stored more. You don't realize how much water you use everyday. Store up while you can because you never know when you might need it.

Sled for survival purpose
After a sled riding trip yesterday I was pulling my little girl around on the sled and it was so much easier to pull then to carry. So if you have access to a small plastic light sled or can get one it could really come in handy if you are put in a situation where you are on foot and have to carry a small load in the snow. You can load up your sled and put your survival gear on the sled and pull alot easier then carrying it all. Or if you have little ones they can get tired easy and this would really come in handy.

Pay off your debts
When it comes to surviving you must be debt free. You cannot afford to owe anyone anything. Pay off your bills, all of them. Even if you have to do it alittle bit at a time. It may take some time to get all your bills paid but keep in mind you are not alone. I am also striving to be debt free. Don't be enslaved by the power of those who can loan you some money. Become debt free and live off the land. You can surive to the end.

Study ways to make shelters out of brush and limbs to stay warm.

Buy Seeds Now
Start buying seeds as soon as you can,and be reading all the information you can get your hands on about gardening if you don't already know how to plant a garden. You will need to grow your own food to survive. Have some plants in planters. There is a good chance you will not be in the same place long enough to watch your garden grow in one place like you normally would. When things get bad you may have to move and move quickly. Have some plants ready to go. You have to survive. You must provide for your family. Now is the time to prepare.

Food and Water Survival
I decided it was time to start stocking up on water which is one thing I never really worried about too much because we have a well in case of emergencies. The other day one of the kids went out and pumped it only to get nothing but dirty water out. So I guess with all the rain and flooding it has poured over into the well. So I will be working on water storage now. The well will be fine to water a garden with if we need to but as far as drinking right now it will not work. I bought a big case of water the other day and when I brought it in I noticed that the kids really liked bottled water. They drink tap water but loved the bottled water, easy access and their own bottle ect. So instead of buying cokes, I am going to buy water bottles for them.

Wake up, get your food and water now
It's time to wake up and get your food and water now. Prepare and get ready to survive in case of emergency. Leave the cupcakes at the store and buy items to survive on. Your family depends on you!
Got Milk
I don't know about you but my family drinks alot of milk. Start buying powdered milk to have on hand just incase. It might not be like the milk you buy in gallons but it will be better than no milk at all. Have extra water too so you can mix it!
